Event Description
Over the past three years, this event welcomed hundreds of students, community members and entrepreneurs to the Kent Campus. This high energy event is designed to provide students and entrepreneurial community members with the tools, resources and motivation needed to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, leading to success in careers and in life. The extravaganza includes several workshops, panel discussions and speakers on various entrepreneurial topics.
The Entrepreneurship Extravaganza will kick off Thursday, Nov. 5, in the new Entrepreneurial Classroom at Prentice Hall from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will continue onto Friday beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m. The schedule of events is seperated into two different tracks targeting two levels of entrepreneurs:
1. PRELAUNCH: This track is targeted toward beginner and intermediate entrepreneurs and is designed to provide guidance. This track will help emerging entrepreneurs and will answer any questions they have and cover topics such as:
- Recognizing a Great Opportunity
- Start-Up Resources
- Protecting Your Idea
2. LAUNCH: This track is targeted toward advanced students and community members who are ready to launch a new business venture or expand an existing business. This track will cover topics such as:
- Legal and Compliance
- Successful Networking
- Marketing on a Shoestring
