Event Description
International Education Week (IEW) is Nov. 12-17. The Office of Global Education is organizing the first-ever IEW World Cup Tournament! Eight teams will compete in a 6-on-6 format (including goalie) with 30 minutes of playing time in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Each team is allowed seven players (one substitution) and must also indicate which country they choose to represent (must be a current country recognized by the U.S. Department of State. The first eight teams of seven players each to register will be able to compete in the tournament. The team captain will receive a confirmation from International Student and Scholar Services via email within two business days.
The playing times are:
- Quarterfinals: Nov. 13 at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
- Semifinals: Nov. 14 at 5 and 6 p.m.
- Final: Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. with trophy presentation and pictures to follow
